AK 10 Cordless Battery

Compatible with the tools in the STIHL AK System, the AK 10 is a lightweight 36 V Lithium-Ion battery. It features a charge level indicator on the top with four LEDs so you can see how much charge you have left quickly and easily, at the touch of a button. This is the recommended battery for the FSA 57 grass trimmer and HSA 56 hedge trimmer and has been designed to balance perfectly with those tools.

FAQs

QWhat tools can I use this battery in?

This battery will fit in any of the tools in the AK System, however, it is the recommended battery for the FSA 57 grass trimmer and the HSA 56 hedge trimmer. The other tools in the range use more power so either the AK 20 or AK 30 batteries, which have a higher capacity, will be more suitable for the other tools.

QHow long does it take to charge?

Using the AL 101 charger, you can fully charge this battery in 95 minutes, or you can charge it to 80% in 70 minutes.

QCan I charge it any quicker?

We make two fast chargers, the AL 301 and AL 500. We do not currently sell these online but you can buy these instore, along with other accessories, such as battery storage bags, from our approved STIHL dealers.

Tips

#1Looking after your battery

Don't use a damp or wet battery in your tools and avoid using them in extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold). To find out more about looking after your battery, read our blog post.

#2Storing your battery

Take your battery out of the tool you have used it in and store it separately in a clean, dry place out of direct sunlight and ideally in some packaging, such as cardboard, to protect it, at a temperature between -10°C and 50°C. Don't forget to keep it out of reach of children.
