The 6 Series STIHL iMOW® robotic mowers are capable of keeping even the largest lawns in check without you needing to lift a finger.

With a 28cm cutting width, these iMOW® models mow little and often so that you have a beautiful, perfectly-maintained lawn at all times. They are designed to mow efficiently so your lawn is mown in the shortest possible time, leaving you with more time to enjoy your garden. You don't need to empty the grass box either - the iMOW® robotic lawn mower is a mulching mower. This means that the grass clippings are shredded finely and dropped back into the lawn where they deliver the exact nutrients that your grass needs. The STIHL iMOW® operates within a perimeter wire so you can tell it exactly where to mow. You can also programme the automatic mower to mow when you want it to. Just set the active mowing windows and it will make sure it mows within those times. And if it can't go out to mow on any given day, because of bad weather for example, it will make up the time on the following day. All 6 Series iMOW® lawn mowers can handle gradients up to 45%.

The RMI 632 covers areas up to 3,000m², whilst the RMI 632 P can cover lawns up to 4,000m2. For the complete smart garden, our C models also have iMOW® app connectivity. Both the RMI 632 C and the RMI 632 PC can be controlled via the iMOW® app. The RMI 632 C can cover areas up to 3200m2 and for the largest gardens, the RMI 632 PC covers lawns up to 5000m2. For these models, you can use the iMOW® app to change the mowing plan, read status messages and pause or start new mowing operations wherever you are in seconds.

Please note that this does not include everything you need to install your iMOW®. You will also need an installation kit, which includes perimeter wire, fixing pins and wire clips.

iMOW® robotic mowers are not toys. During the iMOW® robotic mower's active times, children, bystanders and animals must be kept out of the working area. Please refer to the operating instructions for further information.

Features

Dynamic mowing plan Dynamic mowing plan

When you set up the mowing plan of your iMOW® robotic mower, you can set the active mowing windows during which the iMOW® can operate. Within these windows of active time, the automatic lawn mower will work out the best times to mow for an optimum result. If it has to stop mowing because of rain, it automatically catches up later within the specified time window. You can set the mowing plan via the control panel, or via the iMOW® app for C models.

App control (only available for the RMI 632 C and RMI 632 PC models) App control (RMI 632 C and RMI 632 PC only)

With the RMI 632 C and RMI 632 PC, the iMOW® app can be used to easily update or change any settings while on the move. This is really useful if you want to send the iMOW® out to mow earlier than scheduled, or delay it till later. It also works in conjunction with online weather forecasts to make sure that the iMOW® only mows in suitable weather conditions.

Movable hood Movable hood

The iMOW® has a movable hood with sensors which helps to protect the robotic mower from weather and obstacles. If the iMOW® robotic mower comes up against an obstacle during automatic mowing, the integrated sensors detect contact with the object and changes direction.

Smooth-running wheels Smooth-running wheels

The smooth-running wheels have a traction pattern that helps the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower move with precision, even on hilly areas. The wheels of the automatic lawn mower are also self-cleaning.

Adaptive slope speed Adaptive slope speed

The adaptive slope speed technology means that the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower can adapt its speed on uneven terrain. The mower has an integrated tilt sensor which continuously analyses the position and adjusts its speed as necessary.

Easy-to-use control panel Easy-to-use control panel

The control panel of the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower features a large LCD display, which is easy to read even in bright sunlight and intuitive to use. On our 6 Series iMOW® mowers, the control panel can also be removed from the mowers for easy access.

FAQs

QWhat happens if there is an obstacle on the lawn?

A: If the iMOW® robotic mower comes up against an obstacle during automatic mowing, the integrated sensors detect contact with the object and the mower simply changes direction. However, the mower does have a sharp mowing blade and children, pets and bystanders should not be in the working area at the same time as the iMOW®.

QWhat is included with the iMOW®?

A: The iMOW® robotic mower comes with the docking station, four pegs for securing the docking station to the ground and an iMOW® ruler which is used during installaton when laying the perimeter wire. The perimeter wire and pegs are available in a separate installation kit that is not included with the iMOW®.

QCan someone steal the iMOW®?

A: It is possible to pick up the robotic mower, but all iMOW® robotic mowers can have a 4 digit pin code activated that prevents other people from being able to use the machine. If the iMOW® is picked up, an alarm sounds and automatic mowing is turned off unless the pin is entered within one minute. Additionally all C models can be located via the iMOW® app using the built in GPS receiver.

QCan the iMOW® stay outside all year round?

A: Over winter, we recommend storing the iMOW® itself in a secure, dry place. Before you do this, you should fully charge the iMOW® battery, switch off the automatic mowing system and set the iMOW® to its highest security level. The docking station can remain in the garden over winter and does not need to be removed, but the power cable should be disconnected from the mains and the docking station during the period when it is not in use. In extreme weather you can cover the docking station if you wish to, with a secure storage box or similar.

QDo I have to empty the grass box?

A: No, the iMOW® is a mulching mower so it shreds the grass clippins finely and drops them back into the grass as a nutrient-rich, natural fertiliser. So over time, the robotic mower will also improve your lawn too.

QDoes the iMOW® work in the rain?

A: The iMOW® robotic mower has in-built rain sensors but you can set the rain sensitivity level on your mower yourself. Depending on the level of sensitivity chosen, the iMOW® will only mow if conditions are almost or completely dry. We do recommend setting it so that the mower operates in mostly dry conditions as this stops the iMOW® from getting dirty and protects the roots of your lawn. If you have set it like this and the rain sensor is activated on the iMOW®, it will stop mowing when it starts to rain and return to its docking station. When the rain stops, it automatically will resume mowing the lawn. If it rains through the entire active time, the dynamic mowing plan allows iMOW® to make up for lost time on a different day. For example, if it rains on a Monday then it may make up the time on the Tuesday instead.

QHow short will iMOW® cut the grass?

A: The iMOW® has multiple different heights settings from 20mm to 60mm, which can be easily adjusted on the mower.

QHow does the iMOW® work?

A: The iMOW® operates within a perimeter wire that you set up when you install the mower. The signal generated by the wire tells the iMOW® where to mow so it's important to make sure the wire is installed correctly. If you have a particularly complicated garden layout, you may want to get one of our STIHL Approved Dealers to install the iMOW® for you instead. You can find your nearest iMOW® specialist STIHL dealer here.

QCan I install the iMOW® myself?

A: You can install an iMOW® yourself. There are instructions on how to do this in the User Manual. We also have a video guide showing you to how to install your iMOW®. However if you would prefer not to install it yourself, we recommend ordering your iMOW® from one of our STIHL Approved Dealers as they can also carry out the installation for you. Tips

#1Cleaning your iMOW®

To clean your iMOW® you should disable it first, then clean it with a brush or damp cloth. You can find full instructions for how to to do this in our video

#2Storing your iMOW®

If you do not plan to use your iMOW® for an extended period of time, such as over winter, you should fully charge the iMOW® battery, switch off the automatic mowing system and set the iMOW® to its highest security level. Depending on your iMOW® model, you can also set it to hibernation mode. The mower should then be stored in a secure, dry place, such as a garage. The docking station can remain in the garden over winter and does not need to be removed, but the power cable should be disconnected from the mains and the docking station during the period when it is not in use.

#3Cutting height on your iMOW®

When the weather is hot and dry, we recommend that you select the highest cutting height on the iMOW® so that the ground doesn’t dry out so fast and the lawn doesn’t burn from the heat.
