MSA 70 C-B Cordless Chainsaw

The MSA 70 C-B is a lightweight, cordless chainsaw with an impressive cutting performance that's 25% higher than that of the MSA 60 C-B - ideal for stocking up your wood store, or general garden maintenance.

It's quiet, so there's no need to wear ear defenders, and simple to use - just pop the battery in and go! It features plenty of innovative STIHL technology, such as Quick Chain Tensioning so you can tighten the chain without tools and the Ematic chain lubrication system which uses up to 50% less chain oil. You can easily see how much oil you have left thanks for the opaque oil tank window, and the chainsaw has a sleek new design.

A fully-charged AK 30 battery will give you around 180 cuts in 10 x 10cm timber.

Features

The STIHL electric motor is extremely energy efficient, lightweight and compact. It runs quietly and has very low vibrations.

Chain oil is important to keep your chainsaw running smoothly, and the innovative STIHL Ematic chain lubrication system provides maximum lubrication and less oil consumption than on other chainsaws. Oil consumption is up to 50% less with the Ematic system.

This chainsaw features the handy Quick Chain Tensioning system, which makes it very easy to tension the chain, without the need for any tools. Simply release the sprocket cover and turn the thumb wheel to loosen or tighten the chain.

You can easily check the level of chain oil in your chainsaw with the transparent oil tank on the side of the machine.

Another great feature designed by STIHL, the additional braking system in the chainsaw helps protect you - the chain stops running either when the front hand guard is switched on or when you release the rear handle.

The soft-grip rear handle and ergonomic design of the chainsaw give you a comfortable and stable grip at all times.

A: The recommended AK 30 battery will last up to 45 minutes in the MSA 70, although this depends on what the tool is cutting.

A: To fully charge the recommended AK 30 battery using the AL 101 charger, it takes 205 minutes, or to charge it up to 80%, it takes 160 minutes.

The tool is powered by a 36V Lithium-Ion battery.

A: Yes, they are interchangeable with other tools in the AK System. They are not interchangeable with the AS System or AP System tools.

A: The MSA 70 C-B has a 1/4" PM3 saw chain, which gives a high cut quality with low vibration.

A: Yes, you can - simply visit your nearest STIHL dealer for a replacement.

A: We recommend that you wear cut-retardant trousers or chaps, cut-retardant boots or wellies, goggles and gloves, and tie back long hair. When cutting above shoulder height, we also recommend wearing a helmet.

Tips

When you have finished using your chainsaw, remove the battery and wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Don't forget to wear gloves when doing any maintenance on the tool.
