The SHA 56 is an indispensable garden tool if you have lots of leaves to clear in your garden! Our first battery-powered 2-in-1 vacuum shredder & leaf blower can quickly blow leaves, hedge trimmings and debris into piles whilst in blower mode, and then suck and shred them whilst in vacuum mode. The shredded garden waste will take up much less room in your bin, or it can be used on your compost heap.

Converting the SHA 56 from a blower to a vacuum shredder can be done without tools in minutes too. A variable speed trigger controls the suction and blowing force of the tool, and thanks to the specially angled handle whilst in vacuum mode, it’s ergonomically designed and comfortable to use.

Part of the AK System, the battery in the SHA 56 is interchangeable and can be used in other tools in the range including grass trimmers, chainsaws, lawn mowers and hedge trimmers.

  • Working time with AK 20 battery: Up to 25 min or enough time to clear up to 75 m² (in suction mode) or 600 m² (in blowing mode)
  • Working time with AK 30 battery: Up to 30 min or enough time to clear 90 m² (in suction mode) or 700 m² (in blowing mode)

FAQs

QHow long does the battery last?

A: The recommended AK 20 battery will last up to 25 minutes on a full charge or enough time to clear up to 75 m² in suction mode / 600 m² in blowing mode.

QHow long does it take to charge?

A: To fully charge an AK 20 battery using the AL 101 charger, it takes 180 minutes, but you can charge it up to 80% in 135 minutes.

QWhat size garden will it maintain?

A: The SHA 56 is great for clearing medium to large gardens either as a leaf vacuum or leaf blower.

QWhat battery does it use?

A: The SHA 56 is powered by an interchangeable 36 V Lithium-Ion battery.

QAre the batteries interchangeable?

A: Yes, all of the tools in the AK System use the same style of battery. There are three different batteries in the range, which all have different capacities. For the SHA 56, we recommend the AK 20 battery, and it is designed to be perfectly balanced with this battery, although you can also use the AK 30 battery which will give longer working times. We don't recommend using the AK 10 as the SHA 56 won't run for as long with this smaller battery.

QWhat should I wear when using this tool?

A: We recommend that you wear snug-fitting clothes, goggles, gloves and sturdy boots or shoes, and tie back long hair.

Tips

#1Cleaning your SHA 56

When you have finished using the SHA 56, removethe battery and clean using a damp cloth or soft brush.

#2Storing your SHA 56

Store your SHA 56 in a clean and dry area and keep out of the reach of children at all times.

#2Using your SHA 56

It takes more power to blow away damp leaves than dry leaves, so it will take you longer to clear a smaller area of wet leaves. If you can, wait until a dry day to clear your garden to make the most of your battery.

#2Clearing leaves with your SHA 56

Instead of just blowing the leaves around the garden when the SHA 56 is in blower mode, blow them into a corner to keep them contained. This also then makes it easier to suck them up quickly when using the SHA 56 in suction mode.

#3Looking after your battery

Don't use a damp or wet battery in your SHA 56 and avoid using them in extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold). To find out more about looking after your battery, read our blog post here.
