The FSA 30 is the first battery-powered grass trimmer in the STIHL AS System of battery-powered garden tools. Extremely lightweight and very quiet, this grass trimmer is perfect for trimming lawn edges and around obstacles in smaller gardens.

Full of features that make your life easier when trimming the grass, the FSA 30 can be fully adjusted to suit you. It's quick and simple to adjust the length of the shaft, the angle of the mowing head and the angle of the loop handle too. The adjustable angle of the mowing head is particularly useful if you are trimming along the edges of a flower bed or border, and the FSA 30 also has a spacer bracket for mowing around trees and obstacles.

The FSA 30 comes with a PolyCut 3-2 mowing head, which uses two polymer blades that just hook on to the mowing head, which means it takes just seconds to replace them when they are worn out. You can extend the life of the blades by soaking them in water overnight before first using them though. It is possible to fit an AutoCut 3-2 mowing head to the FSA 30 as well, which uses mowing line instead of the PolyCut blades, although this will shorten the battery working time.

  • Battery working time: up to 19 minutes

Features

Spacer bracket

The spacer bracket can be used to help you guide the FSA 30 around obstacles without damaging them. This is particularly useful around trees when damaging the bark could be fatal to the tree.

Spare blade storage

Up to six replacement PolyCut blades can be stored on the handy hook underneath the handle. They are quick and easy to replace as well.

LED charge level indicator

Simply press the button on the charge level indicator and the LED display will show you how much battery life you have left at any time.

Adjustable loop handle

The angle on the handle can be quickly changed without tools to suit whoever is using the FSA 30 at the time.

Tips

#1Cleaning your FSA 30

When you have finished using the FSA 30, remove the battery and clean with a soft cloth.

#2Looking after your battery

Don't use a damp or wet battery in your FSA 30 and avoid using them in extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold). Find out more about looking after your battery.

#3Storing your FSA 30

Store your FSA 30 in a clean and dry area and keep out of the reach of children at all times.

#4Extend the life of the PolyCut blades

To get the most out of your PolyCut blades, we recommend soaking them in water for 12-24 hours before first use. This will help to make them less brittle and likely to wear.

#5Check for wildlife

Please check for wildlife before starting to use your tool. In particular, you should always check long grass for small animals such as hedgehogs before starting work.
