The HLA 66 is a cordless long-reach hedge trimmer that makes it easy for you to trim tall or wide hedges in your garden.

The cutter bar is adjustable by 115º and can also be folded right over for neat and compact storage. The loop handle means that you can easily control the hedge trimmer, particularly when using it to trim tall hedges.

The controls are easy to use and feature infinitely variable speed control to suit the job you are doing. It also comes with a single strap harness as standard to help balance the tool especially when using it for longer periods of time, although for greater comfort, you could consider adding the RTS Super Harness.

The double sided blades give you a precise finish on your hedges too so you can be sure you'll get the job done right first time!

  • Run time on AP 200 battery: Up to 144 minutes

Tips

#1Cleaning your HLA 66

When you have finished using the hedge trimmer, remove the battery and wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. We also suggest spraying a little resin solvent, like STIHL Superclean, onto the blades to remove sap or resin, protect them from corrosion and stop them getting stuck together.

#2Looking after your battery

Don't use a damp or wet battery in your HLA 66 and avoid using them in extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold). To find out more about looking after your battery, read our blog post.

#3Storing your HLA 66

Store your HLA 66 in a clean and dry area and keep out of the reach of children at all times.

#4Check for wildlife

Don’t forget to check your work area for wildlife before starting to use your tool. In particular, you should check for nesting birds before trimming hedges, as well as checking for other small animals such as hedgehogs before trimming long grass.
