The RMA 448 VC is powerful cordless lawn mower with a large 46cm cutting width and vario speed drive so you can adjust the speed to suit the job you are doing. The speed is easily adjusted from 0 – 4.5 kilometres per hour using the accessible lever on the handle. You’ll still get the same great, consistent cut whether you are mowing faster or slower too, as the speed of the blade is independent from the speed of the mower.
The sturdy mono-comfort handlebar is simple to adjust to suit your height and means you can easily access the grass catcher box. It can also be folded over for compact storage in one easy movement.
In fact, the RMA 448 VC is packed with features to make your life easier, like the spring-loaded cutting height adjustment lever, the fill level indicator so you know exactly when to empty the grass box and the automatic eco mode which maximises the battery life.
The RMA 448 VC is part of our AP System of cordless tools and uses interchangeable AP batteries. It is not compatible with the AK System of battery-powered tools.

Features
Vario speed drive
The vario speed drive means that the speed of the mower can be easily adjusted to suit the job in hand. Simply increase the speed when mowing large, flat areas or decrease it when mowing smaller areas or around obstacles to make mowing effortless.
Unique design grass catcher box
The grass catcher box on all of our cordless mowers is designed to open like a clam shell - there's no need to try and shake the grass out of a narrow opening. Simply unclip the back and it unfolds completely so you can drop it straight onto the compost heap.
Flow-optimised blades
All STIHL lawn mowers have a flow-optimised blade, which are designed to lift the grass, cut it neatly then push it straight into the catcher box, without using unnecessary battery life, moving the air around in the deck.
Eco mode
The RMA 448 VC features an eco mode - by turning it on, the lawn mower will adapt the speed of the blade to the mowing conditions, spinning faster in denser grass, or slower when carrying out a quick trim. This makes the most of the battery life to help you mow for longer.
Central cutting-height adjustment
It's easy to adjust the cutting height of the mower to one of six different levels between 25mm and 75mm in one easy movement, thanks to the spring loaded lever.
Carrying handles
There are carrying handles on the front and top of the mower, making it easier to move and transport. You can even use the handles to easily secure the mower with a strap in a car or van too.
Hard-wearing wheels
The wheels on the RMA 448 VC are durable and sturdy, and have traction patterns that have been designed to make it easy to steer the mower around your lawn and hold the perfect line.
Innovative mono handlebar
It may look unusual but the robust mono-comfort handlebar can be adjusted and folded at the touch of a lever, and gives you straightforward access to the grass catcher box.
Second battery storage slot
There is a second slot on the RMA 448 VC for a spare battery so once one runs out, you can simply swap it for the spare.

Did you know you can use your RMA 448 VC to collect and shred leaves on your lawn? Switching off the eco mode means that the blade speed does not drop and so the mower can lift leaves with ease.
