AL 5-2 hi-speed double AS System battery charger

The AL 5-2 is a hi-speed double battery charger for fast charging of two STIHL AS 2 batteries at once. The AS 2 batteries can be used with all tools in the AS System, such as the GTA 26 garden pruner, HSA 40 hedge trimmer or the BGA 30 leaf blower. 

You can fully charge two AS 2 batteries in 50 minutes using the AL 5-2 charger – that’s 30 minutes faster than using the AL 1 charger, which only charges one battery. 

The charger has an LED indicator so you can see whether the battery is charging or is fully charged. It also has a Velcro cable strap which helps to keep the cable tidy when not in use. Plus, there are slots which let you wall mount the charger to your workshop or garage wall.

Please note that this cannot be used to charge the battery for the HSA 25 shrub shears.

Tips

#1Looking after your charger

Don't use a damp or wet battery in your tools and avoid using them in extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold). If the batteries are very cold, they may not start charging straight away. To find out more about looking after your battery, read our blog post.
